Outdoor Leadership Information
Leaders of outdoors activities must meet certain minimal requirements to be a leader. The overall
Leadership Requirements and Guidelines for volunteer leaders should be read.
Each committee, or activity, also has specific leadership requirements in addition to the general requirments. These can be found in the activity home pages which are listed under the drop down menu.
Release Agreements
All activities such as biking, hiking, paddling, etc that involve risk must use the
Volunteer Release Agreement form. It is to be read and signed by all participants of the activity, each time the activity is offered.
For major excursions there is a
separate release form to be signed for that trip.
Reporting & Communications Information
Any
incidents or accidents that occur during an AMC activity should be
reported, in addition to any other reports that may have to be filled in, eg. police, hospital, search and rescue, etc.
Further overall information can be obtained from the
AMC Outdoors web site.
